What is our Antique & Fine Art Brokerage?
This is a discreet and alternative way to purchase or sell antiques, without incurring excessive charges or fees that are currently offered by the larger specialist firms and auction houses.
Whether internationally based or through the quality provincial auction network.
We are instructed primarily from professional firms and private individuals, seeking probate advice,
downsizing of property issues as well as the recommendations, management and removal of surplus chattels for disposal.
Our Brokerage service includes the placement of items where, in our opinion, they are best sold at auction or alternatively via a specialist and reputable dealership. Our advice encompasses all seller negotiations, reserve prices and illustrations as well as organisation and transportation of the said items to the relevant seller.
When selling antiques, for whatever reason, but usually due to down sizing of property, our objective is to maximise your return far more competitively than you selling directly via an auction house or dealership.
Our experience within the trade and dealing with auction houses on a regular basis, enables us to offer this unique and cost effective service to you.
Storage & Restoration
We also have our own secure storage facilities available where items can be viewed by prospective clients as well as a fully equipped restoration workshop and polishing facility to repair and rejuvenate items if required.
What does this cost?
After an initial discussion we generally illustrate the maximising of return to you and savings made in relation to dealing directly with a buyer or seller.
All our fees and commissions are discussed, negotiated and agreed prior to commencement.
All goods remain the property of our clients until paid for in full.
Our costs are negotiated directly with you and agreed in writing.
